Hi there.  I’m Ken Morrison, a self professed food geek and the one behind this site and its recipes.  I’ve always found cooking to be relaxing and love how food can bring people together.  When I was growing up, we always had dinner together and whether or not we
liked everything that was served, it was a time for everyone to gather as a family.  That’s something that stuck with me and I continue it today.

By day, I’m an independent insurance agent.  Yeah, I know what you’re saying, but it pays the bills.  Over the years I’ve been in various management positions but working for
myself allows me the freedom to work on my own terms.  It also leaves me plenty of time to try new recipes and get dinner on the table each night.

I’ve been married for 15 years to my gorgeous wife and best friend who I’m pretty sure only married me because she was hungry.  It’s the only logical reason I can think of why she did. She didn’t cook much (didn’t care to) and she wanted to eat; so she said “yes” to my nervous proposal.  We now have 2 amazing kids; our 9 year old son who I’m fairly certain could build an exact full size replica of the Sistine Chapel out of Legos and our 5 year old daughter who is already a master of manipulation.  That’s the one I’m worried about.

When I created this site, I wanted to show people how to create a wonderful meal at home that would rival most restaurants without the expense.  I wanted to make it easy for people to share the recipes with friends and family.  You can drag and drop any photo into Facebook and other media sites to share.  I wanted a place where everyone can share
their thoughts or get advice via instant chat.  And finally, I just wanted to make cooking more fun.

Enjoy and hug your family-Ken

  1. Hi Ken! Excellent Website! You have inspired me to finally get off my duff and follow through with the plans floating in my mind! 🙂 I am in almost the same profession as you…except I sell houses instead of insurance…yeah, it pays the bills…but public image leaves a lot to be desired! even though I have been single-handedly trying to change that in my corner of the world 🙂

    • I feel for you-my wife’s an escrow officer. You’re in a far tougher profession than me although image wise I got you beat. I’m pretty sure insurance is right there with used car salesman LOL!

  2. What gorgeous photos! Now you’ve made me hungry – Good Job! This is a beautiful site and I will be back often.
